In The Presence Of Royalty Poem by Patti Masterman

In The Presence Of Royalty

In the presence of another, I find
That by suspending my own
Judgments, and listening
With the inner pulse while
Looking into the twin mirrors of the soul,
One can recognize the encoded
Divinity inherent within each cell;
Proceeding from generation unto generation:
The encyclopedic wisdom
Descended down through fathomless time
Of royal lineage of Homo sapiens
And housed there in the DNA,
The language of creation.
