In The Way…


Sometimes.. to preach the Word of God
Some need to be cunning in their way
Careful, not too much fire and brimstone..
Or an overload of Judgement Day

Just a whisper here and there
Can sometimes have more strength
Than preaching with such enthusiasm
And going to so much length

Sometimes, as simple as saying Grace
Or just to let one know you believe
Can hit a cord in your visitor's soul..
And start that soul to grieve

When sitting..laughing with your friends
Sometimes it is the best
Just once..His Name..plant the Seed
Whilst amongst you..you all jest

Pick your times..a subtle Word
Can have more impact..get things done
When the big crowd high is wearing down
A lot can happen with a ‘one on one'

The fruit you bare..not unnoticed
Your good actions..others have heard
Can also draw others close to you
That is..'In deed..not just Word'

But there is a calm..some are longing for
And they might sense it within you
Maybe come and ask you then
What is it that you do? ?

Over the years..the ‘conditioning'..
Has been..'religion, that's not the way'
But you can show that it's not ‘uncool'..
Just in the way that you play! !
