In The Twinkle Of An Eye... (Excerpt) Poem by Sharon Smith

In The Twinkle Of An Eye... (Excerpt)

Rating: 5.0

You have taken me to a place..
one that I see clearly..
one that I have seen in a 'dream'
I am with someone
I see him..a child..my friend
I am there..yet I do not see my form
How young I am
How strange this is Lord.
My friend is smiling..
such contentment in his smile
Looking through a window..
bidding me to come see.
I look..
there is a golden urn that sits
on the table..
a table of such richness.
There are no spoken words..
yet all is said
A presence behind the urn..
one which the human eye cannot see
A presence without threat..
yet knowledge be there
Who is there Lord?
Why can I not see anyone?
Who is this?

The urn beckons again.
So many questions are in my head.
The answers are coming from the presence
They are coming as fast as my questions now..
until all speech is blended
Questions and answers all together until
there is no effort..just answers.

The contents of the urn revealed
Yet it is sealed...
sealed until its appointed Time..and purpose
I will keep this hidden in my heart..Lord..
the contents of that which is Precious..
until its Time.

I am older now..
but still without form.
I am in a room
Looks like that of a palace
Rich curtains that sweep over the windows
A room fit for a king..yet empty..
all but a table and a beautiful gold urn
There is a window on the other
side of the table.
Lord..this is the same table and urn..
and that window..
the one that I have looked through
Time has changed!
Yes it has..
but it is the same somehow.

Your Answer came.

Lord..I am the presence that spoke of the urn?
I am the one I could not see?
There are two Time frames..
yet there is one?
I am in both..yet..at once?

This is but a taste..
Lord..can my mind bare?
