To Touch The Soul... - Poem by Sharon Maree Smith
A passion in my heart
Souls ecstasy I had never felt
To draw breath..
lest my soul faint from the fire consuming my very essence
As a Precious Wine through my vein.
Ever so gently You flow to the very depths untouched
Awakening that which has laid dormant
Overwhelmed..yet silent...lest I just disappear.
Unwilling...unable...even to draw breath
Soul's complete surrender, exquisite peace!
Am I to just dissolve..
as You become all and everything..
there is nothing else.
Oh how I search the earthly words..
There are none!
My eyes are closed...yet they are opened.
