In The Woods Poem by Pen Anthony

In The Woods

In the woods
They know my name
They call my name in your voice
Without thought i walk in
I smell your fragrance
In the morning dew

In the woods
I walk right in
To the whispers
Of the sound of your voice
I call for you
Only for my echo to answer

In the woods
They come looking for me
I tell them
I heard you calling my name
That you're in there

In the woods they say you're not
That you're in my head
And in the ground
Where we put you to rest
