In This Valley Of Humiliation Poem by james watkin

In This Valley Of Humiliation

Of all living substance
Crushed here below
Apart from star-matter
What's been reduced
In our flesh, at soul's cost
Pride of being; most.

With a state, self aware
More conscious beast's
Whose instinct, beyond stars
Homeward does gaze
This of his earthly woe
Sorest squeezed; know!
