In This Whole Life Poem by Naveed Akram

In This Whole Life

Rating: 5.0

When you have finished this scarce show
I will scare you into a closure of sins;
Bring me another action of your selling,
Law and scans of the varieties are solidly
Made to the tune of some start.
Where or when do we try to stay believably
Quiet?
Underneath the tree of stones and labor?
No, this lance of the starry sky is dawn
And the horizon. Halt to the name of his frame.
The horizon. The glory of your name.

Inside this tyrant called our very star
Is a sandwich to consume from fierce
Parties of endeavor, the lunch completes
The show.

Why did we try a little trunk of a tree
To bathe our library?
This building is nature's calm,
And it strikes according to charm,
Making you bidder of the art
Of climbing.

The scarcity of the horizon in full view
Instigates our pleasures,
As the wading of trees staggers us,
As we lie on the grass of an orchard
In this whole life.
