In Your Eyes Poem by Valerie Dohren

In Your Eyes

I saw the world
reflected in your eyes -
The oceans vast,
the fibre-optic skies,
And all that sits
betwixt all heav'n and Earth,
From humble things
to those of greater worth.

I saw the world
in all her glory there -
Each gem, each thing
of beauty was laid bare,
And mirrored in
your eyes, eternity
In full it's truth
reflected back to me.

For you are all
the world could e'er conceive -
A tapestry
so beautiful to weave.
Yes, in your eyes
a paradise was born,
So never will
I be again forlorn.

I saw the world
reflected in your eyes -
The oceans vast,
the fibre-optic skies.
Forever there
I'll always seek to be,
And then to slip
into the Shining Sea.

Reflected in
Your eyes - divinity.
