In Your Name Poem by ramesh rai

In Your Name

How shall I write your name,
My beloved, my guardian?
A name so rich in every virtue—
Why shouldn't I cherish it, my darling?

I would lock your name in a casket,
Hidden from every prying eye;
Or fashion a necklace of your name
To wear and win your heart.

Let us sit together for a moment—
I shall speak and share my thoughts,
You shall speak and I shall listen,
And I will sing a song of love.

As we walk the path of life,
We might drift apart in its bustling fair;
I would search for you, and you for me—
Who knows when we might meet again?
