Indestructible Poem by Tatianna Rei Moonshadow

Indestructible

Some day I'll thank you for this
But as for now I'm still in pain
I should be cleansed of your memories
But your voice still echoes in my veins
Your smiles infect my nightmares
Your image haunts my dreams
There is no drug potent enough
To cure this damned disease
I'm painting myself electric blue
Trying to kill the lingering ocean color of your eyes
I'll wash and soak and scrub
Until the scent of your cologne on my skin dies
Of course you expected me to crumble
If you'd paid attention you'd have seen
That I'm f**king Indestructible
And there was never any chance of destroying me
