Indian Cobbler Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Indian Cobbler

Indian cobbler,
I see him sitting
In the open
By the town square
Looking the passers-by
And their shoes and slippers
With a searching look
As for customers
Bearing the brunt of heat

With his tools,
Shoe stand, anvil,
Thread, cutter, knife,
Hammer,
Dyes, adhesives, glues
To mend and repair
And struggling to survive
In this age of developing technologies
And mixed leather stuffs.
