you keep on talking
words flood in my ears
as i eat breakfast of egg
and white rice and
coffee,
i keep watching TV
Mt. Mayon spewing lava
another massacre of
innocent lives in Maguindanao
an attempt to bomb
another plane by
a Nigerian terrorist
i am engrossed.
keep on talking.
i will pretend
that i am your listener.
God only knows
you exist.
