Ineffable Sorrow

Strolling down the street
and over the bridge
in pitch dark
where dogs bark.
Alone in deep dark like parched bark
in search of a friend
but can't get one.
I walked miles and miles
to find beautiful smile
heart with blooming love
and find flocks of dove.
Moving lonely in dark
realising reality in stark
my yearn for a friend
is still very far.
