When prices rose six percent or nigh
The mantriji1 felt mighty good;
And when twice as high
He felt the figure to fall as should;
When piercing roof four times high
He hoped, ho-hummed, hapless, shy;
Asked his chief babu2, posing wise,
Should we shift to a monthly rise?
