Inform Poem by Daniel van der Merwe

In the darkest minute I seem to be alive,
When every second I just try to survive.
This situation can get too much at times,
And nothing is as smooth as straight lines.

I am missing the old days,
Now, everything has changed, even my ways.
Thinking of the next day – tomorrow,
Can bring me much - sorrow.

If I could just take the same course,
Like nature does by force…
But being human is a different source,
Trying to do everything by perforce.

I never want to live and regret,
Nor do I want to live and forget.
For the memories are keeping me alive,
Although it’s the only thing that makes me not want to survive…
