I close my eyes and am in a labyrinth at once.
High hedges, winding paths, and distant voices.
The junction I stand at offers many choices.
Sharp corners convince me that no decision
Intersects with its' opposite
Until much later,
If at all.
I will never escape if I never move,
But any turn could be the wrong one.
For fear of failure I take no steps at all,
And wake alone.
