Inner Darkness Poem by DM W

Inner Darkness

Rating: 5.0

Darkness devours the flesh of light,
And it slowly corrodes the soul.
As secretive as starless nights,
It conjures up the icy cold,
And steals all of our noble dreams.
I has to be confronted boldly
And not allowed to plot and scheme.
From its prisons, we must be free.

Very Poeish beginning that starts darkly dripping with menace with a hint of angst, then equally turns to a test of character and one's inner strength. Nicely written Dominic and a full score.10+ and well deserved. And I did one a while back nearly similar but darker called The Judder Man based on the Metz advert. You might enjoy if you remember the great ad. Many thanks Dominic and keep writing.
