Inner Strength Poem by Mary Rodriguez

Inner Strength

If only you could see yourself through my eyes
The pride I have for you it's hard to describe
When I think of the things you've accomplished so far
You shine more bright than the brightest night star
Life has thrown many obstacles your way
Determination and fortitude get you through each day
Tending to the needs of others with a compassionate heart
Your brilliance, confidence and selflessness sets you apart
You inspire those around you and exemplify grace
I can't help but smile when I see your face
Never doubt your importance on this earth
You were destine for greatness from the moment of birth.

Wow. Hope you are saying these things about yourself, too, and not just to someone else. What a contrast to the most recent dark poem that you posted today!
