Innocence Is True Love Poem by Hebert Logerie

Innocence Is True Love

Innocence is true love
Like two gleeful doves in a NYC street
Two buddy-buddy boys embraced like brothers
Of the same mother and father
Like brothers of the same mother
And different father, like siblings
Of the same father and different
Mother. The toddlers embraced like cousins
Like they shared the same blood
Like they shared the same organs
Like blood brothers, like young boys
Like future leaders who believe in unity
In one world. Innocence is pure love
And pure love is divine. There's no hypocrisy
No worry about the opinion of others
A hello is a sign of love
A hug is a sign of love
A handshake is a sign of love
And a kiss is a sign of love
This is the true reality of love
Love is simple, inviting, and human
Love has a torch which can warm up the heart
This is brotherhood. This is fraternity
This is fraternal love. The air smells very fresh
When there's unity and the world feels great
There's happiness and many, many smiles
The world loves beautiful stories
Let's always be positive and frank with each other
Like toddlers Maxwell and Finnegan
There's hope for peace and unity in our world
Love is a panacea. Love is real and beautiful
Love is peace, simple and wonderful.
