Insane Love Stumbles
(a poem by Shakil Ahmed)
My insane love stumbles again and again
At your flowery door-steps
Where the dancing shadow of blooming olive leaves
Plays hide and sick with glowing sunshine
Like a rep i travel around your love zone
And your whisper silences all my screams.
When the sky kisses the moaning horizon,
When the stars begin to wink
Penetrating the surrounding gloom of agonized night,
When moonlight blesses the petals of rose
With its tender touch
A sweet breeze blows touching my
Bleeding heart after the end of dismaying gale
Spreading fragrance of celestial flowers
Removing the fusty smell of glistening flesh.
When violet sun frowns for no reason at all, when haunting nightmares of deadly night
Leave me shuddered and stunned
When deafening screams of satanic voices
Lark in the crest of dead sky
An invisible wave of coveted love
Drifted by the wafts of southern wind
Removes the clustered glum of centuries
Gaging at your momentous eyes
Like a thirsty dove of scorching sun beams
I gather pebbles and diamonds
To adorn the recess of my forlorn heart
In the disgusting moments of persistent day,
I lose myself in the orbs of your glaucaus eyes.
