Insanity Poem by Auaduma Adookorn

Insanity

he feeds on petal of drug to lift up
his ego, poke wild fire of doubt and bedevil
the mindset of addicted wretch

inferno of hallucination whirl, pop up
in scarlet-colour dream
with pulverise threat

voices from the rear question his legality
of living in pen and staying among men,
irenic talk chime bell of gossip

and quarrel, he barks at his own shadow--
a broom in the hand of a child, slug
and machete to take his dummy life

solitary and exhausted on alley of blues,
he flee to the coop from tyrannic reality--

not a bipedal or quadrupedal being,
his easy-going life beetle over reality
with the plumage of drug--

the seeds of drug nurse petal of blues
in hallucinatory soil of insanity

his appetite forbids plushy dish, he hustle
with vulture and rodent on midden
of carcasses to sustain his paper life

dressed in gammy garment denied
laundry-- a threat, an eyesore in the street--
he stays in open castle erected by imagery

society driven by anomy breed batty lives;
let's sign up the abuse of drug,
let go of lawless life style and abate

the wild spread of insanity.
