Inside My Head - Poem by Meghan Boettner

Round and round
The record plays
Here I sit here I stay
Every moment I’m hidden
Beneath a mask
Fatherless daughter
My mouth always stapled shut
Dyed my hair from brown to blonde then back to brown now black
Still trying to hide the dork inside
Dying between sexy and sweet
I want
So much for prince charming to
Sweep me off my feet
The cup
At my lips brushes ghost white kisses against my lips softly
My prince…
Sitting here I watch my tears ripple
In the cup all my dreams, all
My fears
You know what I give up
<3! shine… dork… its…your…time! <3
