Inside This Man (Dedicated To The Memory Of My Friend Richard Carter) Poem by Gene Floyd

Inside This Man (Dedicated To The Memory Of My Friend Richard Carter)

Rating: 5.0

We might not ever know why some have a troubled mind
But if they should happen to pass our way be ever so kind
Never condemn their weakness if themselves they reveal
Unless we're inside this man we don't know how he feels.

We might find them in a bar room or some other place
Remember it could be us were it not by God's grace
He might not have control over what life to him deals
Unless we're inside this man we don't know how he feels.

He might be our neighbor or someone down the street
Might be that stranger today we happen to meet
Lend an ear and listen if to you he appeals
Unless we're inside this man we don't know how he feels.

Don't just pretend to love him really love him today
Don't turn your back be a friend in every way
Be your brothers keeper you know you true'ly can
We don't know how he feels unless we're inside this man.
