Insomnia Poem by Ilari Rahja

Insomnia

Sun shines.
In thine eyes, my love.
With every whisper.
Of the wind, it blows.

Every shimmer.
Chisel, of trees.
Grass and flowers.
Abound, it grows.

Whether you know this or not.
Is not mine, to see.
A secret.
Which, you hold from me.

However, this I know.
Feel within.
That I have found.
A treasure in you.

For you wake me up.
In the morning.
Bring me to sleep.
At night.

The thought.
Of seeing you again.
Together anight...

So I watch you.
Moon and tingling of waves.
Glittering in darkness.
Cold, as they are.

Experience.
A strange warmth.
Pride.
Even happiness.

At thy sight.
Despite wind.
Chill.
Of the night.

This all I think.
And feel.
Tonight.

While I sit here.
Listen, to sounds.
Of darkness.
Coming, of twilight…

Singing of the sea.
Of approaching storm.

It all seems delightful to me.
As if.
My feet were made.
Light, as air.

My heart rises.
Through the clouds.
Like thunder.
That I hear.

Yes!
Passionate heart.
My temples.
Pounding and fire.

My dear, while you sleep.
I watch, desire...
