Insufficient Sacrifices Poem by Rachel Henley

Insufficient Sacrifices

I gave everything for us to be anything,
but it was all just insufficient sacrifices.
Tossed friends, dreams and ambitions,
into the deep blue sea,
hoping you would swim with me.
You will never turn the car around,
you keep driving down the highway,
but even though you are driving away,
it does not mean, you want to leave.
