Inta Habbibi Poem by Nadia O.Z

Inta Habbibi

Rating: 4.5

A voice is ringing in my ear
Reminding me of why I'm here
Take a look around
Remember what I had & what's here
Remember what left and didn't bother to stay
I should just sew these severed threads
& try to forget
Let it all go
Can't let it
Instead I stand before you
With my pride left way behind
Look into my eyes and pretend you can read my mind
Bet yet tell me what to think
Whisper slowly into my ear
Oh dear,
Let me see the light
For I have not found even a hint
So things can get better
So everything will be alright
Flashback
To the night
Where all I could do
Was twist and turn
Trying to find
How to make things right
Which is simply why I'm here
Take another look around
Breathe in
&
Thank God
