Internal Riot Poem by Jessica Thomas

Internal Riot

Rating: 5.0

Can I put a limit on my agony and fear?
Can I dry up all these uncried tears?
Will my misery ever stop?
Does God know I'm about to pop?
I'm sure he sees me on this earth
I wonder what my life is worth
Will there be a place for me?
Can I forget so only good time will be?
In the space between my ears
I fight the rage and my tears
Is it unfair that I feel alone?
Is this God's plan until I go home?
If only my brain were to stay quiet
I could hear God over my internal riot.
