Internship Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Internship

Internship

She told us in the class
He’s saying once again
(Of interns)

“Greedy Companies save money.
They fire permanents, employ the interns.
No payment for the work and if good,
The interns will work on, only with contracts.”

Both the south and France
Withdrew factories
No more Heinz, Michelin
But Target has attacked.

This is life, which we live
In this world (capitalism)
It’s the law of jungle
Everyone saves his ass
The poor is all but need,
Either mule or the ass
Carry load. Or like ants,
Innocent; you’re smashed.
