Intimacy Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Intimacy

Months now turn to years
With my angelic beauty.
She has shaken my world
And assured my destiny!

Love has blossomed in my heart
For my beautiful fragrant rose.
I have watered it so lovingly
In the garden of my soul.

Love with pride and respect
Now flourishes deep inside,
Where it’s nurtured daily on
The vines of deep desire!

I am thankful that I met her
On that fortuitous blessed day.
But her sexual desires had long
Since been hidden, especially to her.

My desires grew in leaps and bounds,
But were mostly dashed and shredded.
Rejecting my affections and advances
Is too hard for me to bear.

Sexual pain is real and often is not discussed.
It can damage or destroy even the closest loves
With potential physical and emotional damage.
Is she worth waiting for, I had to ask myself?

No matter how long it takes,
Yes, I will wait for her!
She is much more precious to me
Than any alternative choice.

Intimacy is for sure found in the bedroom.
But it starts first in our minds.
Communication is the sexiest thing
To all women now I find.
