Into The Darkness Poem by Dorsey Baker

Into The Darkness

Rating: 5.0

As the space between the creatures
Becomes smaller and smaller
They move erratically
Bumping into one another
Like balls on a pool table

Turning themselves
Against one another
Becoming the beast
That is about to prey
Upon its weaker self

Distances becomes larger
And wider
As, never in life before
A target for pain and misery

A sad state of affairs
The creature coming to a dead end road
Cannot rewind the clock
Cannot help himself
Get himself out of the dark
Where he is!
