Into The Shadows



Falling freely, endlessly
through sudden sharp darkness.

Light has perished
before my eyes.

Life and meaning are forgotten
in this ebbing lightless tide.

Love was vanquished,
but not the memory.

Hope was destroyed,
and with it,

the light of the heart
was thrown into the shadows.
