Invisibility Poem by Gee Cii Schnider

Invisibility

A whole world surrounds me
A world that most cannot see

Millions of people walk down the street
Seeing the sadness ain’t a treat

I see they have nightmares haunting
And I see constant taunting

The hidden voices are seldom heard
They fly to me like a little bird

There are whispers in the dark
They light up a room like a spark

I see them on their knees
They are just begging please

Their wishing for their Hero
But their hopes are at zero

Only people like them can see them
And I'm staring at 'em

Everyone is like them
Even me and you
Believe me it’s true

At least once

April 2006
