Invisible Tears Poem by Jasmine Thompson

Invisible Tears

Her face is dark
Her look lost
invisible tears form

She will not cry
She will die
if she lets him near her heart

she fights them back
she blinks and bats
her eyes still water

the first tear falls
she's walking the halls
alone in her own hell

It's cold
It's painful
she pushes it away

takes a deep breath
but can not stop
as those invisible tears fall
