Irish Rose Poem by Heath Harrington

Irish Rose

Rating: 5.0

Ella you are the one flower in the garden of my life
that stands out. The slender green leaves sway
in the breeze, as the dew drops catch the dawns light,
they sparkle like Christmas lights. A butterfly flutters
drifting on invisible currents of new spring air
and it leads me to the rose.
A deep scarlet Irish rose.
So many beautiful things about this rose.
Those that I love were born from here.
after so much hardship your bloom is still beautiful.
every rose has its thorn but not every rose smells as sweet.
we love you.

Being an Irish rose I'm sure her rootstock is impeccable but be sure to prune her regularly or her true nature will surface and she is bound to run wild.
