Is democracy viable in India?

We gained freedom and democracy
that was new to our country
but not new to people
even though we struggled a lot

we were under foreign domination
with lots of indignation
and no voice in domestic say
as we were not allowed to exercise the sway

"Divide and rule" invaders followed
and we too have allowed the same
even though India is an infant democracy
it is divided among caste, creed, and hypocrisy

people have become right conscious
but not with duty awareness
the corruption mars our progress
and country is struggling to find an access

the country may survive
but got revive
the awareness among people
and children who are going to be our asset

India as one country
and with one judiciary
we shall revive our old roots
and shoot fame in the time to come
