Is How It Is Poem by Francis Duggan

Is How It Is

In a Human World where millions for success compete
There are winners and losers on every street
And though losing is something anyone does not choose
For one for to win others do have to lose
And since human existence is designed in this way
There are more losers than winners in the World every day
On saying the majority of the wealth of the Human World is owned by the few
Is not saying anything that is in any way new
Though many with what I say may disagree
In a fair Human World this would never be
That the gap between the wealthy and the poor is widening by the day
Does seem rather quite a sad thing for to say
There is rich and poor and human inequality
This is how it is and how it always will be.
