Is This Worthless Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

Is This Worthless

How distance breaks the heart I'll never know
How truth can be so cruel I can barley be comprehended
I'll slice my heart open so you can see my emotions
They'll spill into the canvas of life for you to read
Exposing me for who I really am and yet I want to hide
Perhaps who I really am isn't who you want me to be
Maybe you still compare me to someone from the past
Someone you once gave your heart to and miss
Maybe you secretly want her instead of me
Sitting in the darkness of your room and thinking of her
How can you not understand why I'm so insecure?
You make me that way, by barley accepting me
Pushing me when I want to be close
Yet pulling me close out of no where
Constantly battling this side of confusion
Is it wrong for me to know how I feel?
Maybe I'm jaded for accepting you for who you truly are
Not rejecting you like all the rest and giving you a fair chance
Maybe I should start dealing you the hand of rejection
Maybe then you'll truly understand where I'm coming from
Because this constant change of emotion
Is simply putting me in a constant stage of disarray
My insecurities are built from fears and lack of love
Never do you have to question me on how I feel
Yet you mask every thing so perfectly
Little things never really matter to you
Listening is a skill I'm simply wasting
Aggravation for my constant need for affection
Annoyance at the person that I truly am
Yet you tell me you love me
By never going astray to someone else
That doesn't reassure me in any way
That doesn't make me feel like you want me
To set these wings free or to continue to have them bind
To only you with a heart full of compassion
Continue to reject me and the heart will grow cold
Your greatest fear will become a reality
And one day you'll wake up with out me there
Never again to answer your questions
To listen to all of your cries
You'll be alone and I'll be forlorn
For dedicating so much time and effort on something so
Worthless
