Isaac Newton Poem by Nelson Torres

Isaac Newton

It was I who put the cherry on the icing.
But it is not I who should be pronounced king,
It is us, for we saw eye for eye
And built on history's endless tries.
Now all that is known is all that can be,
But please do not only reward me.
Scholars kept the writing hand steady
And because of that all that known was ready.
Now the sky is no longer the limit,
And what you see at night is just the rim of it

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
So I had to write a poem for homework on Isaac Newton. The assignment was to pretend that you were Isaac Newton and write a poem on how he had help from the previous scientist which lead him to discover his theory on gravity. I thought it was a neat poem so I decided to put it up, enjoy!
