It Ain't Lovely Poem by Natasha Andeyi

It Ain't Lovely

They say that love is patient,
And before we dive into its other natures,
I believe I've been nothing but patient and kind with you.
I've tried not to be rude whenever you pissed me off,
Overlooked your flaws because to err is human.

But my Oh my the jealousy is where I draw the line.
I thought I'd be fine with you in the arms of another,
But ever since reality dawned that I'm not the one,
My mind has been driving me wild.

We no longer connect nor communicate without words like we used to,
You're intentionally ignoring me and its torturing,
You're frustrating my being and you know it,
So where is the love?

How can you say there's love when you only express it on your own terms?
Never really putting my feelings in mind.
This cannot be love,
You're hurting me and there's nothing lovely about it.
