It Came On So Suddenly Poem by Vera Sidhwa

It Came On So Suddenly

It Came on So Suddenly

It came on so suddenly,
But it came up in creeps.
This feeling inundated me,
And my soul does weep.

It came on so suddenly,
It's creeping feeling,
Gripped my soul in yes, fear.
This fear grips on too long.

During this poem, the fear lets go,
At this time, the fear says no.
But as the poem ends,
The fear does not.

I don't know why I have this way.
It subsides by night and increases by day.
It comes so suddenly,
But it's creepy feeling is an enigma.
