It Does Poem by Francis Duggan

It Does

Of a life after bodily death how would i know
Since anyone has no real proof to show
Of a spirit World far beyond the moon and the stars
And jupiter, pluto, venus and mars
Many poor people struggling for to cope
Find that belief in a god does give them hope
Of a better life post bodily death
When they have drawn their last living breath
Many believe the soul has wings to fly
To the spirit World way beyond the sky
Yet many good living religious people who to their god regularly pray
Are not looking forward to their last living day
Which does say of them what they themselves dare not say
That they slightly doubt the existence of their god it does seem this way.
