It Feels Good

I’m dreaming again,
For the first time in years,
And it feels good.
I do not care that my
Dreams are, in reality,
Nightmares,
If it’s always about you.
I miss you like
The moon misses the stars
In the night sky,
But it is obvious that
No one cares,
No one cares at all.
But…that is okay
Because I care
And that is all that matters.

I’m dreaming again,
For the first time in years,
And it feels good
To know that you’re there
In my dreams.
It feels good to know that I
Have yet to forget you.
It feels good to know
That you still linger
In the depths of my memories.
It’s almost like you’re still here
With me, by my side,
Only you’re not the same.
But, I guess that’s okay too,
Because, in reality,
I still love you.
