It Felt Like A Week Poem by Jessica Nobubele Frame

It Felt Like A Week

Monday sister left
Tuesday she didn't speak to me

Wednesday they killed foreigners
Thursday thousand were displaced

Friday someone was shot
Saturday another loved one died

Sunday came too soon
Monday felt like we were back at square one

There is power in the punch! Well done Jess! It is short and very effective... South Africans can link your words to xenofobia, where it can be interpreted differently bu other people.... lovely effort. Don't stop. Yuri*
