It Holds No Charm Each Rose Thought On Poem by james watkin

It Holds No Charm Each Rose Thought On

It holds no charm each rose thought on
That would entrance, if lent -
For which love, without, is unsustained:
A compliment.

Nor wakes a light our lake-side muse
Twould blind us, given this -
For which love, from a mouth without it
Thirsts: a kiss.
