It Is Already Here.... Poem by RIC BASTASA

i am looking for a way
to live, with no one to depend
upon, as i have seen you,
you cannot live without the
other, you seek company,
you need a conversation
to make you alive, you need
a sound, a touch, an exchange,

for years, i got tired of searching
for something to hold with my hands,
everything slips away, in one way
or another, a friend they also find
their friends, as the saying goes,
no one nothing lasts forever,
and you really have to live alone
and set all these dependencies
free, ruined houses, ruined
relationships, and sometimes you
recall, i am restless and will always
be until my heart rests in Thee.

God is good, God is good all the
time, someone that lives in your
heart, that knows you but to be
honest, you have never seen but
only felt, and you talk to yourself,
in silence, and silence talks back
to you, and silence is not silence
after all, there is a certain sound
it keeps, and it is so comforting.

you wait and will keep on waiting.
it will not be long, it is already here.
