It Is Here Where Yourself Speaks The Loudest. Poem by RIC BASTASA

It Is Here Where Yourself Speaks The Loudest.

think of tonight
the moon is big and round
and too near
the window.

leave yesterday
it was sad.
do not think of
the future.

it is a high mountain
and you are climbing
on the rain.

think of tonight.
there is no other choice.
learn to love
the moon for it is big and
round

and you can hear no sound
and it is here where yourself
speaks the loudest.

love tonight, love yourself
it is all you've got
anyway.
