It Is You, My Dear! Poem by Vinod Varma

It Is You, My Dear!

Rating: 2.9

Yet another day born
In a golden shadow of divine charm
The day was young as
I walked in the garden of heaven

Stretch of a hand away
I saw a sweet little rose, all smiles
A little rose of my dreams
Budding into a new life

I went close, and
Streched my hand in care
I bled, hurt me hard
I saw thorns all around

I saw my little rose
Dancing in gentle breeze
Blushing in innocence
Amidst a world of thorns

I streched my hands
I picked my little rose,
I brought home my dream
Sweet, young and tender

I kept my dream
With my God, at his feet
I prayed for a new life
A new life for my dream

Time went on
I saw my rose dying
I cried helpless, God
Why you did this to me

I heard a voice
A voice loud and clear
A voice from within
A voice of true love

I made rose, my son
For you to see and enjoy
It’s life, my dear
Don’t pluck and destroy
