It Runs So Deep That Gravediggers Weep Poem by Christina Ramirez

It Runs So Deep That Gravediggers Weep

Your silence speaks volumes my heart can't stand.
And the thought that I can't see you hurts me more than I planned.

I'm so confused that it's making me go blind.
That it's starting to make me want to unwind everything that I ever said.
Because with everyday that you don't respond, is just another day that I dread.

Maybe you don't know the extent.
Or just didn't know that what I said I really meant.

I'd be glad to show you if you let me.
I'd even cross this sea of wrong, just as long as it ends in your arms.

But don't be alarmed for what has happened, for I'm sure your more confused than I.
But if loving me isn't in your schedule, let this not be goodbye.

A friend yesterday will still be a friend everyday.
Despite your sway and what ever it is you'll eventually say.

I'll keep you in the highest of regards.
And in my top playing cards is where you'll stay.

For despite the ignorance of my emotions.
My undying devotion

Is forever yours to keep....
