Inside a crumpled jumper was a crumpled you,
Fading inwards, thick head becoming transparent.
A face, white with the reminders of the past
Frozen with thought gazes out of the splintered window.
A crack which your mind can replace but your wrinkled
hands cannot. Our faces smile at you from those
yellow smoke stained walls. We smile nowdays too
just a little more knowing and rather more distanced.
Swirling the spoon inside your trusty old mug
the outside world drifts into insignificance.
Slowly stubbing the over used cigarette, I mirror
your movements without realising. Sleep comes
sudden when time has no meaning. I disolve you
with a musty blanket and leave the room.

I would like to translate this poem
This has some lovely images and a wonderful use of language. I like the structure of this. Couplet stanzas work exceedingly well when the poem itself is so well composed, but it shows up flaws when flaws are there. Fortunately this has none.
