It’s Over Now Poem by David Blake

It’s Over Now

Rating: 5.0

Alone on my way back from
places I never should have
been I dream of every
reason to say I am sorry.
Dancing in the shadows of
a world shrouded in pain
and regret, I can only lament
the things I know will forever
remain. Looking inside
my sorrow and shame I
don’t know what it is to be
good. Lost in the darkness
again I fell the same as I did
yesterday yet I know my
words are feeble and week.
My soul hollow and shamed,
I bow my head only to
realize I have forgotten how
to pray.
